Privacy Policy

«Men El Akher» (من الآخر) provides in-depth book guides in Egyptian Arabic. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices.

Data we collect

• Anonymous account ID: when you first open the app we create an anonymous account (no name or email) so your progress is saved.
• Name and email (optional): if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them. We use them to sync your account across devices and to watermark PDFs you download with your name.
• In-app activity: guides you read, reading progress, reading time, highlights, and the categories you pick. This powers features such as resume-reading and streaks.
• Subscription status: your plan, renewal date and status. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store — we never see your card details.
• Settings: time zone, font size, light/dark theme.

We do not collect your location, contacts or photos, and we do not use advertising or ad-tracking SDKs.

The website (menelakher.com)

The website uses cookieless, aggregated visit statistics (Vercel Web Analytics) to see which pages are useful. We use your approximate country (from your IP address, not stored) only to show prices in your currency.

Service providers

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication.
• RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase validation.
• Google and Apple — optional sign-in and payments.
• Vercel — website hosting.

They process data only on our behalf. We do not sell your data.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and database access is restricted per user.

Deleting your account and data

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing moatazsamy122@gmail.com with the subject "Delete account" from your signed-in email (if you never signed in, email us and we will help you identify your account). We delete your account and reading data within 30 days. Purchase records may be retained by Google/Apple under their own policies. Cancel subscriptions from Google Play or App Store settings. Details: delete-account page.

Children

The app is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children.

Changes

If we make material changes we will update the date above and notify you in the app.
